Victoria Pier Collection

Victoria Pier in Colwyn Bay, North Wales, was once a vibrant symbol of Britain's golden age of seaside entertainment. Opened in 1900, this historic pier drew visitors with its theatres, amusements, and panoramic views over the Irish Sea. However, as the years passed, the pier—like many British coastal landmarks—fell into neglect and disrepair, becoming a haunting reminder of a bygone era.

This art collection explores the decaying architecture of Victoria Pier, capturing the weathered textures, rusting framework, and interplay of light and shadow on its fading facade. Through my seaside paintings and prints, I document the nostalgia, impermanence, and quiet beauty of this crumbling structure, inviting viewers to reflect on the history, decline, and preservation of British coastal landmarks.

By preserving these fading landmarks through art, I aim to evoke memories of seaside traditions, while sparking conversations about their future
